News flash: Just had another try at doing a 0-60mph run. Did it in 3.5sec with a passenger. Very happy with that.

Puma wins at the Nationals. John wins the coveted people's choice award and also takes second place in Individually Constructed  Vehicle class, while I managed to take third place with my car. John's car pics

Nationals: Has been and gone. A great weekend was has by all who attended. We arrived about 4pm on Thursday afternoon and booked into our caravan park cabin. We unloaded and headed off to the resort where most people were staying. There were about 40 cars there with another 40 or so cars out wine tasting. We checked into the roundup and picked up our "goodie bag" and  purchased a couple of Nationals hats. The weather was brilliant and was to prove to be the best of the weekend. We organized to come back for dinner and went to check out the cars before heading back to the caravan park.  Friday was to be an early start so after a nice meal that night most went to bed early.

Friday morning we all arrived at the Collingrove Hillclimb facility. The weather was awful with strong hot winds and unfortunately a total fireban was declared and the event was cancelled. Such a shame as lots of drivers were looking forward to the event and the organisers had put in so much work, but we can't control the weather.  The driver got to do a couple of cruises up the track to get an idea of what it is like. We spent the afternoon sitting under a tree drinking nice cold drinks. Friday dinner was nice and with the car park was full of about 100 Clubmans there was a lot to look at afterwards.

Sat morning we awoke to find the weather had completely changed and now it was raining lightly. My car spent the night under my new waterproof cover, so glad I bought it. We headed off on the observation run in light rain and soon found ourselves in Anguston  where we thought a Cup of Coffee was in order. We found that some others had the same idea. We sat with two lovely gentlemen from Queensland  Eric and John and enjoyed a cup and a great chat, only to find the rain was now very heavy so we had another. In the end the rain eased a bit so off we went. We persisted till Eden Hills then realizing our chatting had caused us to miss lunch decided we would go back to Tanunda. Of course then the rain stopped, well for a little while. John was back and desperately trying to dry out his waterlogged car. My car was cleaned and dried out a little, it went back under it's waterproof cover and the V8 supercars telecast filled my afternoon with some going to a Jaguar display.

Sat night was a brilliant evening with everyone all dressed up for the lovely Chateau Tanunda. The speeches were good the highlight was Eric receiving a well deserved award for his work with getting Clubman's registered in Queensland.

Sunday we awoke to a few light showers that thankfully cleared for the show and shine. What a sight with over 100 Clubman's on display at Chateau Tanunda.  Lots of cars to look at and a lovely lunch supplied. Before we knew it it was time to leave for home with another Nationals over. Pics

John has done Chassis Plates for all Puma's, a great record to have long term for your car. A great way to create a permanent record of your cars history and record the original builder and owner. This will be invaluable when our car become classics. These can be purchased at cost from John, at cost, and will be supplied with all new chassis sold.

Although we all have a puma chassis, each car is manufactured by the builder/owner which makes all the cars very individual and unique. The result is a personalized, extremely fast awesome handling car.
